NUTRITIONAL THERAPY

HYPNOBIRTHING

Why nutritional therapy?

A holistic approach

A complementary therapy rooted within functional medicine, which takes a holistic view of the body and the environmental factors which impact upon our health.

Rather than focus on one body system or symptom in isolation, it considers everything together as a whole.

Personalised nutrition

Everything we discuss in a consultation is unique to you - we are all different and there is no one-size, fits-all, quick-fix!

We will work together to develop a personalised health plan for you, with ongoing support to ensure you achieve your goal.

Evidence based advice

My recommendations are rooted in science, based on the latest research evidence and I regularly attend industry events or training courses to further my knowledge in new developments.

I am a member of the British Association for Nutritional Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), which help to govern the way I practice and ensure I meet high professional standards. I am an alumni of the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition, graduating in 2019 with a distinction.

Building your knowledge of what happens during birth and the options available to you can help you to feel more confident on the day.

It’s a complementary therapy rooted in functional medicine, and takes a holistic approach, considering all symptoms and body systems rather than focusing on anything in isolation. Read more here.

Hypnobirthing

What is hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is all about empowering you with knowledge around birth and your options, and training you in tools and techniques which help to ensure you stay as calm and relaxed as possible during labour, for a positive birth, your way! Read more here.

When should I start hypnobirthing?

I recommend starting from around 26 weeks of pregnancy, to allow time to learn the techniques and feel comfortable, however if you are particularly anxious about birth and keen to learn there is no harm in starting early - please get in touch here.

How long does it take to learn hypnobirthing?

Whilst the course itself is held over 4-5 weeks, the important part is all down to practise, giving yourself enough time to build your confidence, prepare and practise the tools and techniques that will help you to feel calm and in control on the day.

What’s included in a hypnobirthing course?

The course is a complete antenatal programme held over 5 x 2 hour sessions, educating on each stage of labour as well as in-depth content on hypnobirthing tools and techniques, affirmation and visualisation mp3s, birth plan resources, and much more - click here for more information.

Are there classes near me?

I run in-person sessions in East Dulwich at the lovely Oru on Lordship Lane in a private or group format, or can do online courses so distance need not be an issue. Get in touch to find out more and discuss what will work best for you.
